The 1st Ballooning Film Festival was a great success.
Remise des prixThe 1st Ballooning Film Festival was a great success. The Jury composed of Alain Tixier, Fabienne Faur, Denis Darroy and Pierre Balaskovic awarded its prize to Jack Cohen's film "The Earth as Seen from the Wind". The Jury of the Public, under the direction of André Clamagirand, and composed of Monique Orban, Odile Léonard, Simon Heckler and Odyle Bouin, awarded its prize to the Isy-Schwart brothers' film "Four Seasons in France at the Mercy of the Wind".
 
Seven good reasons to come and take to the sky in Thionville

Venez prendre l'air à Thionville  An especially successful sports and cultural event

Five hot air balloon flights out of the seven scheduled. One gas balloon flight and one night inflation. The successful launching of the 1st Ballooning Film Festival. The tree exhibits (literature, photos and balloon artifacts) encountered great success. Twenty thousand spectators in four days and the podium taken by storm for the competition trophy by three Lorraine Region contestants. The 3rd "Ballons de Lumière" in Thionville (Moselle) was a great success, even if Sunday's weather prevented the last two flights.
