Pour le nombre de montgolfi\u00e8res, cela doit varier aux alentours de 800 en \u00e9tat de vol. Une grande majorit\u00e9 de pilotes volent dans leur coin, loin des zones militaires et commerciales. Regroup\u00e9s dans de petits clubs familiaux, ils se d\u00e9placent \u00e9ventuellement pour de petits meetings r\u00e9gionaux. Autre cat\u00e9gorie qui concerne une cinquantaine de pilotes, les sp\u00e9cialistes de la comp\u00e9tition qui se retrouvent notamment pour les championnats de France et \u00e9ventuellement pour les championnats continentaux et\/ou mondiaux. Troisi\u00e8me cat\u00e9gorie, les professionnels : un peu plus d\u2019une centaine en France qui vivent du transport de passagers, essentiellement. S\u2019il existe une f\u00e9d\u00e9ration (f\u00e9d\u00e9ration fran\u00e7aise d\u2019a\u00e9rostation) et un syndicat des professionnels (CNPPA), c\u2019est un monde assez individualiste (quand bien m\u00eame l\u2019activit\u00e9 se pratique en \u00e9quipe) qui subit actuellement une grande mutation avec l\u2019application le 8 avril 2021 de la nouvelle r\u00e9glementation europ\u00e9enne. La formation des pilotes, la maintenance et l\u2019entretien des a\u00e9ronefs ainsi que le maintien des comp\u00e9tences est un volet \u00e9galement qui fait d\u00e9bat. Autre probl\u00e8me, la moyenne d\u2019\u00e2ge des pilotes avoisine les 58 ans avec une v\u00e9ritable difficult\u00e9 \u00e0 attirer de jeunes pilotes (co\u00fbt notamment du mat\u00e9riel et de la formation). Courant Mars, les pilotes adh\u00e9rents \u00e0 la f\u00e9d\u00e9ration (FFA\u00e9) devront choisir leur nouveau pr\u00e9sident(e) et un comit\u00e9 directeur.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2021 est une v\u00e9ritable ann\u00e9e charni\u00e8re pour le d\u00e9veloppement de cette discipline a\u00e9ronautique et son avenir.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>_<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\ud83c\uddec\ud83c\udde7 The world of ballooning is a small niche<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the 1970s with the rebirth of hot-air ballooning, there have been about 1,200 hot-air balloon pilots in France (less than 10% of whom are women). If there is a federation (F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Fran\u00e7aise d\u2019A\u00e9rostation, FFA\u00e9) and a union of professionals (CNPPA), it is a rather individualistic world (even if ballooning is a teamwork), which is currently undergoing a great change with the application on April 8, 2021 of the new European regulations. Pilot training, aircraft maintenance and servicing, as well as the maintenance of skills which is also a subject of debate. Another problem is that the average age of pilots is close to 58 years old, and it is pretty difficult to attract young pilots (particularly because of the cost of equipment and training).
