Construit au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 1930 en un an et 45 jours (plus de 3.000 ouvriers y ont travaill\u00e9), le b\u00e2timent, qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 longtemps le plus haut du monde, a \u00e9t\u00e9 inaugur\u00e9 le 1er mai 1931. Mais sait-on que l\u2019antenne qui coiffe l\u2019immeuble \u00e9tait pr\u00e9vue pour amarrer des dirigeables. A l\u2019\u00e9poque ce moyen de transport faisait r\u00eaver les plus riches qui imaginaient venir de Boston par les airs, passer une journ\u00e9e et une nuit dans les palaces et autres lieux new yorkais et repartir chez eux. Un ascenseur avait \u00e9t\u00e9 mis en place entre le 86\u00e8 et le 102\u00e8 \u00e9tage. Deux tentatives furent initi\u00e9es, mais les vents \u00e0 cette altitude n\u2019ont pas aid\u00e9 \u00e0 la r\u00e9alisation du projet. Puis est arriv\u00e9e la grande d\u00e9pression et l\u2019accident du LZ 129 Hindenburg le 6 mai 1937.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Longtemps inhabit\u00e9e la tour a \u00e9t\u00e9 m\u00eame surnomm\u00e9e \u201cempty (vide) state building\u201d par les am\u00e9ricains. Il faut attendre les ann\u00e9es 1950 pour que la Tour s\u2019anime v\u00e9ritablement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aujourd\u2019hui l\u2019antenne accueille la quasi-totalit\u00e9 des stations de diffusion de radio et de t\u00e9l\u00e9vision.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\uddec\ud83c\udde7 <strong>Let me tell you a beautiful story<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Everyone knows or has heard of the Empire State Building in New York. Built in the early 1930s in one year and 45 days (more than 3,000 workers worked on it), the building, which was for a long time the highest in the world, was inaugurated on May 1, 1931. But did you know that the antenna that tops the building was designed to dock airships. At the time, this means of transportation was the dream of the richest people who imagined coming from Boston by air, spending a day and a night in the palaces and other places in New York and going back home. An elevator had been installed between the 86th and 102nd floors. Two attempts were made, but the winds at this altitude did not help the project. Then came the great depression and the accident of the LZ 129 Hindenburg on May 6, 1937.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For a long time uninhabited the tower was even nicknamed \u00ab\u00a0empty state building\u00a0\u00bb by the Americans.
