In 32 years, the average number of flights remains at 13.2 out of 19

It is difficult to imagine two years before what the weather will be like for a GEMAB event. However, if the date of the last week of July was thought through in 1989 by observing the meteorology of the previous forty years, it happens that conditions are not optimal. The worst year was 2015 with only 8 out of 19 flights, the best year being 1995 with 18 out of 19 flights. The year 2021 has not escaped this Murphy’s Principle of maximum annoyance: vigipirate, covid, Brexit and only 12 out of 19 flights. But everybody knows “there is sunshine after rain”, there is every reason to hope for the future.
