New pilots at GEMAB

Less than 40% of pilots in the GEMAB every two years are first-time participants. Even if the pilots talk to each other about their various experiences, it is difficult to imagine what a gathering of several hundred hot air balloons can be. The advantages of Chambley are that the land is huge, more than 400 hectares, and that it is easy to land outside, especially when the harvest is over. Nevertheless, good advice allows newcomers to embark on the adventure without fear. That’s why our pilot coordinator called on the old-timers to suggest the right tracks to have a pleasant stay. Besides being important actors of the festival, the pilots are also tourists who participate in the economy of our region. It is important to guide them to the best places to discover between the morning and evening flights. Less than 300 days to convince them to join us.
