Sous cet acronyme B.I.A (Brevet d’Initiation Aéronautique) se cache un cursus de quarante heures proposé aux élèves de collèges (3è), aux lycéens et même aux étudiants pour s’imprégner de la culture aéronautique. La Fédération française d’aérostation s’est penchée sur cette formation et va proposer une option aérostat. Une quinzaine d’instructeurs fédéraux ont répondu à l’appel et ont obtenu leur qualification de « certificat d’aptitude à l’enseignement aéronautique » initié par les Ministères de l’Education Nationale et des Transports. J’en étais et je crois personnellement que c’est une belle aventure nouvelle qui s’ouvre pour l’aérostation.

Under the acronym B.I.A (Brevet d’Initiation Aéronautique for Aeronautical Initiation Certificate) hides a course of forty hours offered to schoolboys and girls but also students to imbibe aeronautical culture. The French Federation of ballooning looked at this training and will propose an optional “balloon”. Fifteen federal instructors answered to the call and obtained their qualification “certificate of aptitude for aeronautics teaching” initiated by the Education and Transports Ministry. I am one of them and I personally believe that it’s a new great adventure for ballooning.
