Les autorités tanzaniennes ont donné leur feu vert à la première expédition en ballon au dessus du Kilimandjaro. C’est une première qui conduira des scientifiques du département de géosciences de l’Université de Fribourg à faire des études sur la vulcanologie et la glaciologie au dessus du volcan et glacier, la plus haute montagne d’Afrique. L’expédition avec deux montgolfières du balloon Team de Lugano (Suisse) devrait durer deux semaines.

The Tanzanian government gave its green light to the first balloon expedition over Kilimandjaro. This “première” will enable scientists of the Geoscience Department of Freiburg University to study volcanology and glaciology above the volcano and glacier of the highest mountain in Africa. Expedition with two hot-air balloons from the Lugano team (Switzerland) is expected to last two weeks.
