Resumption of educational workshops with a Meusian summer camp
Every year, we welcome 600 to 1,000 children from kindergarten to middle school for educational days around hot-air ballooning. All appointments before summer break have been cancelled due to the pandemic. At least, just before going back to school, the Euville recreation centre (Communauté de Communes de Commercy-Void-Vaucouleurs in Meuse) allowed children to learn while having fun safely, discovering the magical world of hot-air ballooning. As usual, we talked about the history of hot-air ballooning in a treasure hunt within the AéroMusée. We learnt how to build a paper balloon, we indulged in the joys of physics and chemistry (and the principle of archimedes). And to top it all off, the kids walked in a real inflated balloon. Unforgettable according to the accompanying adults. Let’s hope that many more of them will visit us in the coming months.
