Future instructors on internship at Chambley
Chambley aerodrome is the place of choice for major events and aeronautical training. During the coming week, on the initiative of Guillaume Jouaville (pilot, instructor, examiner and instructor trainer) the French ballooning federation (FFAé) is organizing a training session for future hot air balloon instructors. A week of theory and practice with qualification as the key. There are just over a hundred federal instructors in France and around fifty examiners appointed by the DGAC. After many years without much renewal, we are witnessing a good upsurge in requests to become a pilot. The DTO Ecole Internationale d’Aérostation Pilâtre de Rozier trained 4 pilots in 2021 and the class of 2022 has 7 trainees.
