In the heart of BallonVille Pilote

A year before the event, registration is open to drivers from all over the world through an application. When the hundreds of crews arrive in Hangar G at the Chambley airfield, the pilots present for inspection any documents that have not already been downloaded: licence, insurance, certificates etc. A special area is reserved for them where they will meet in the morning and evening for briefings. And when they return from the flight, they have a large area with a bar-brewery and a marquee. There are also stands of balloon manufacturers and importers and a shop. English is generally spoken and this encourages international exchange. The pilots also have a campsite at their disposal, although many prefer to stay with local people in gîtes. Pilots have access to the propane station for refuelling after the flights.
