Among the new European astronauts who have just been appointed is a Belgian, Raphaël Liégeois (Belgium), who studied biomedicine before graduating as an engineer from the École Centrale Paris, obtaining a master’s degree in fundamental physics at Paris Saclay and doing a thesis in neuroscience at the University of Liège. He is also a hot air balloon pilot at the Belgium Balloon Club. We had the opportunity to welcome him in 2015. According to his relatives, he is a great person and an excellent pilot.
