Hot-air balloon pilots, especially French ones, are always the last to register. Not to mention the local pilots. In their defense, we’ve always welcomed latecomers, even right up to the last day. So there are those who take advantage of the early bird rate, the second wave during the winter, on days when we don’t fly. Then there are those who wake up at the start of spring when they get their balloons out. Every day we receive new registrations, and as soon as June arrives, it’s the turn of the big latecomers. And as Damien, who is in charge of registration, says, “the most important thing is that everyone is registered for the first briefing on Friday July 21 at 6:00 p.m.”.
