European reform in question

30 Dec 2014

ATO, European licenses, pilots training… The ax expected for April 2015 has been postponed to April 2018 after negotiations between the federations and the supervisory authorities. Nevertheless, this “revolution” is on and eventually new regulations will impose their diktat. Two solutions were available including French, on the ballooning section (which is not the largest in the aviation world, even if it is the first discipline to have taken the air, remember). Either the wait hoping that nothing changes, or the voluntaristic position to introduce reflection and experimentation specific to eventually offer viable solutions to our disciplines (whether commercial, sporting or amateur). The second position was chosen by the body of federal instructors (forty) met on December 5th, 2014 at the DGAC in Paris. Therefore Pilâtre de Rozier Organization adopts now the new guidelines for pilots training.
