A history that lives on
Since 1983, Pilâtre de Rozier Organisation has perpetuated the memory of the pioneer of the air. With the creation of a hot-air balloon club, which became a training centre, the inception of various events for over 30 years, such as the Mondial Air Ballons, a hot-air balloon manufacture, a maintenance workshop, an Aeromuseum opened in 2008, a boutique and various activities. Not forgetting the book written by Philippe Buron Pilâtre about his ancestor “Pilâtre de Rozier, un lorrain d’exception” which recalls the surprising life of this Lorraine native who defied the air.
