No holidays for future pilots
At the International Aerostation School (EIA) Pilâtre de Rozier at Chambley aerodrome, the winter program remains busy. Objective: to obtain the theoretical part of the balloon pilot license which is the first step to success. It is necessary to obtain 75% of good results in the various subjects. Since the European reform, there are 4 subjects common to all aeronautical disciplines: rules of the air, human performance, meteorology and communications. Concerning the part specific to hot air balloons: principle of flight, operational procedures, flight performance and management, general knowledge of aircraft and navigation. Nearly fifty hours of training with an instructor since October.
