The atmosphere at Chambley airfield was indescribable this Saturday morning. A dozen balloons at take-off, plus four or five a few kilometers away. Lots of people in the air, and a new-found joy in taking to the skies. The strong wind has died down. The weekend promises to be acceptable for flying. Obviously, it’s important for some pilots who haven’t had the chance to fly for a few months to complete their 3 regulatory flights before tackling the Mondial in the proper manner. We can also hope that the weather will become more favorable than it has been in recent months. Long live summer.
