In pre-World Cup mode
From June 15th, the final phase of preparation for the Grand Est Mondial Air Ballons mobilises the whole team. Balloon flights, the AéroMusée, training and all other activities are put on hold in order to focus on the event. More than a month is necessary to build the BallonVille and to prepare the ground to welcome thousands of spectators and pilots/crews from all over the world. The construction site required the arrival of nearly 150 trailers of all kinds of materials. Water, electricity, toilets, barriers, banners, telephony, Internet, computers, tents and marquees. A “balloon city” that will spread out over several dozen hectares. And this acceleration of activity will become an anthill from 13 July until 22 July when the first pilots will arrive to check-in.
