The ten or so students from Jean Zay high school in Jarny who took the BIA exams achieved a fine score, with a 100% pass rate and a few honorable mentions. Every year, Chambley’s aeronautical community provides courses for the young students, enabling them to take their Brevet d’Initiation Aéronautique (BIA). An heir to the popular aviation of the interwar period, this official diploma from the French Ministry of Transport and Education entitles young people to discounts at flying clubs. It’s also an important qualification for those taking their first steps in aeronautics.
