The pilots’ Parade
Surrounded by music and in a festive and colorful atmosphere, the pilots greet the spectators before entering the take-off area and deploying their balloons.
Every day before the evening flight
Every day, morning and evening, several hundred hot-air balloons take to the air to offer an extraordinary show to the visitors of the Grand Est Mondial Air Ballons.

A magical moment for the whole family: the balloons line up in the night and their envelopes light up thanks to the flames of their burners. A festival of colored bubbles to brighten your evening at #GEMAB.
Wednesday July 28
Pilots line up their baskets on the take-off area and activate their burners to the rhythm of the music. The evening flight is cancelled? Do not worry, you won’t leave without a good view!
If, unluckily, it does not fly!
Just like a flea market, the pilots set up their stands at the entrance of the Passage des Pilotes. Pins, caps, jackets, aeronautical material… A great opportunity to make good deals!

Tissue paper balloon making
With our animators, make your own tissue paper balloon and let it fly away in the air. Wed / Sat / Sun : 2.00pm – 9.00pm / Other days : 4.00pm – 9.00pm

Water rocket making
This workshops consists of making water rockets. Just like the mini balloons, the making will be supervised by animators. You will learn more about how rockets work, but also about the action-reaction principle that allows them to take off. Wed / Sat / Sun : 2.00pm – 9.00pm / Other days : 4.00pm – 9.00pm

Coloring workshop
Distribution of a coloring book that children can fill in on the spot. In this booklet, the children will also find games and riddles to solve about the balloon. The most beautiful drawings will be hung to decorate the workshop. Wed / Sat / Sun : 2.00pm – 9.00pm / Other days : 4.00pm – 9.00pm
The Balloon Belly
A unique experience: enter the belly of a real hot-air balloon. Learn more about the balloon and its functioning from its creation until today. Wed / Sat / Sun : 2.00pm – 9.00pm / Other days : 4.00pm – 9.00pm


Astronomy workshop
The CIACANE (inter-associative collective of the astronomy clubs of the North East) Lorraine proposes animations around astronomy. On program, exhibitions, photos, models, observations of the sun, the moon and many others. On Fridays, from 9.30pm, it will be possible to observe the sky and the stars.

Mini-balloon evenings
Every evening from 9.30pm, except on Fridays, participate in mini-balloon evenings! A superb animation not to be missed

Fairground entertainment
(Paid activities) Giant trampolines, flying chair rides are set especially for the event. You can also stop by the House of Laughter for some hilarious moments!
Radio-controlled mini hot-air balloons
Indoor and outdoor demonstration of radio-controlled mini hot-air balloons as well as the famous flight of the cuddly toys! Wed / Sat / Sun : 2.00pm – 9.00pm / Other days : 4.00pm – 9.00pm

Come and try your hand at flying different types of aircraft thanks to the simulators present on the event site… Real sensations guaranteed.

AéroMusée Pilâtre de Rozier
Discover real balloons but also several hundreds of unusual objects: photos, prints, texts and drawings! This cabinet of curiosities stages the travel log of the famous scientific and artistic adventure of hot-air balloons for 230 years. The Virtual Reality space of the Pilâtre de Rozier AeroMuseum
Relive the first balloon flight in history and take your first flight in a hot-air balloon in virtual reality. (draw with the purchase of an entry for the AéroMusée – €1). Mon – tue – thu – fri : 4.00pm – 9.00pm / Sat + sun : 2.00pm – 9.00pm / Wed : 11.00am – 9.00pm


The Great Exhibition
More than 200 large format photos to be admired on the totems along the Boulevard Saint-Exupéry as well as close to the take-off area on the Passage des pilotes, the Esplanade and the Balcon. Just look up and enjoy!

Museum of aerial photography
A superb exhibition on cameras of the aerial photography’s history proposed by Europe Vue du Ciel. Free entrance.

The ULM exhibition
Visit the workshops and the ULM aircraft and flight simulators. Discover all there is to know with one of the five largest ULM clubs in France.
Tourism area of the Grand Est region
The opportunity for you to discover the different destinations and the diversity of the tourist offer of the Grand Est territory. A virtual approach that makes you discover the region as you never knew it.


The French Navy
Meet sailors from the naval aviation and submarines forces, happy to share their experience with you. The French Navy also offers an exhibition on the theme of Sailors of the Sky, not to be missed!

Discover this mythical fighter plane thanks to the Amicale de la 11ème Escadre de Chasse.

The LPO/CFA exhibition
The Jean Zay high school / CFA in Jarny offers a dynamic presentation of its aeronautical training!
The Sports Village
In partnership with the Sports Department of the Conseil Régional Grand Est, it is possible to learn about 6 different disciplines in the Sports Village: athletics, climbing, duathlon, archery, rugby and tennis. Mon – tue – thu – fri : 4.00pm – 9.00pm / Sat + sun : 2.00pm – 9.00pm / Wed : 11.00am – 9.00pm
The CROS Grand Est, an institution of the sports field, is also present in this Village to carry out prevention actions. It proposes an animation for children: the sports Trophies.


Athletics
Discover the Kid Stadium! A discovery circuit where the youngest can be introduced to the 8 disciplines of athletics around 3 fundamentals: running, jumping and throwing. An activity that encourages speed, relaxation, concentration and a taste for effort. Minimum age 3-4 years.

Climbing
Accompanied by professionals, the children take to the heights by climbing on a 5.5m high climbing wall. This wall can accommodate up to 4 climbers simultaneously! Minimum age 3-4 years.

Duathlon
The Triathlon Grand Est Tour returns to #GEMAB21. Between sports activities (running and cycling) and interactive games, this animation is suitable for all members of the family! From 6 years old.

Archery
Learn to practice archery in a dedicated area supervised by archery professionals. A fun activity suitable for all members of the family! Minimum age 3-4 years.

Rugby
In teams of 5, discover the discipline of touch rugby! An activity for all ages to try with friends and family. From 5-6 years old.

Tennis
Back after its first edition in 2019, tennis offers activities divided in 3 distinct areas: a beach tennis area adapted to teenagers and adults, a fun area of inititation to tennis for the youngest and an area of discipline’s presentation. From 3-4 years old.

Between the first flights in a hot-air balloon, try other air disciplines! Discover first flights in ULM, helicopter, glider, plane and paraglider!


Animation stage
In the heart of BallonVille Public, you will find the animation stage where goodies will be distributed, comments during flights will be realized as well as animations in connection with our inescapable radio « Good Morning Chambley » broadcasted from 6.00am to 11.00pm, on 98.2 FM and on the web.

Oncle Jean Conferences
Discover the history of balloons through « The epic of postal balloons between 1870 and 1871 » in the mornings at 11.00am and « The life of Pilâtre de Rozier and the history of hot-air balloons » in the afternoons at 4.30pm and 5.30pm. Also discover the backstage of #GEMAB19 through a film broadcasted every day at 6.30pm.

Two masses in a historic chapel
Priest and balloon pilot, Eric Lorinet will celebrate two masses during the #GEMAB21. The mass of the Nations on Sunday, July 25th and the mass of the Fraternity on Sunday, August 1st.
The Exhibitors’ Village
Along the boulevard Saint-Exupéry, local producers, craftsmen and shopkeepers are waiting for you! While strolling in BallonVille Public, seize great opportunities among the products and services offered.


Viande du Terroir Lorrain
Find a play area for the little ones, thanks to the laughing pig, but also for the older thanks to the wheel of the sector. A place for exchanges on the quality meat sector of the Lorraine region. Many goodies are also to be won, including a flight on board of « Viande du Terroir Lorrain ». Balloon drawing on last Sunday around 5.00pm.

Macif Prevention
Macif offers an animation highlighting eco-citizenship. An interactive quiz that will cover 4 themes: food, waste, raw materials and biodiversity. Animation for all audiences and only on weekends.
