Le principal fondateur de la Balloon Fiesta d’Albuquerque, Sid Cutter, est décédé le 21 mai, à l’âge de 77 ans. Petit fils d’un Gouverneur du Nouveau Mexique et fils d’un pionnier moderne de l’Aviation (Cutter compagny), Sid était aussi un grand pilote qui avait servi dans l’armée de l’Air américaine, puis avait repris les rênes de la compagnie familiale avant de fonder en 1971 un petit événement qui allait bientôt rayonner dans le monde entier : la Balloon Fiesta d’Albuquerque, ainsi qu’une entreprise de transport de passagers en montgolfières et le plus grand club au monde de ballons : la 4 A. La 40è édition de la Balloon Fiesta lui sera dédiée.

The principal founder of Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, Sid Cutter, passed away on May 21st at the age of 77. Little son of a New Mexico Governor and son of a modern aviation pioneer (Cutter Company), Sid was a great pilot who had served in the U.S. Air Force. Then, he took over the reins of the family company in 1971 before founding a small event that would soon spread around the whole world: the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. He also held a business of balloon passengers, the biggest club of balloons in the world: the 4 A. The 40th edition of the Balloon Fiesta will be dedicated to him.
