Enfin une deuxiĂšme femme vient rejoindre la figure emblĂ©matique quâest Claudine AndrĂ© Deshayes. La nomination de Sophie Adenot (France) qui est pilote d’hĂ©licoptĂšre pour l’armĂ©e de l’air, dispose d’un diplĂŽme d’ingĂ©nieur et d’un master en Sciences du MIT, a Ă©tĂ© saluĂ©e. Elle intĂšgre le corps des spationautes europĂ©ens. Parmi les spationautes de rĂ©serve, on note Ă©galement un Français avec Arnaud Prost.

Depuis 2009, il nây avait pas eu de nouvelle promotion et cette annonce est tombĂ©e en mĂȘme temps que lâaugmentation du budget europĂ©en consacrĂ© Ă lâEspace.
Reste que la compĂ©tition va ĂȘtre dure pour obtenir des siĂšges pour les futures destinations vers la Lune et Mars. Thomas Pesquet est semble-t-il en haut de la liste.

Finally a second woman joins the emblematic figure that is Claudine AndrĂ© Deshayes. The nomination of Sophie Adenot (France), who is a helicopter pilot for the French Air Force, has an engineering degree and a master’s degree in Science from MIT, was welcomed. She joins the corps of European spacemen. Among the reserve spacemen, we also note a Frenchman with Arnaud Prost.
17 new faces have been appointed, including 5 career, 11 reserve and 1 parastronaut (with disabilities).
Since 2009, there had been no new promotion and this announcement fell at the same time as the increase of the European budget dedicated to Space.However, the competition will be tough to get seats for future destinations to the Moon and Mars. Thomas Pesquet seems to be at the top of the list.
