đŹđ§ Artemis on its way to the Moon
For 50 years, Americans have dreamed of returning to the Moon. A step has just been taken with the sending of the Artemis rocket carrying the Orion capsule which will orbit the Moon for about ten days. It is the largest rocket ever built with a height of 98 meters for 2,600 tons. On board, no human being, but a dummy equipped with cells to record all the parameters which will be used for Artemis 2 carrying astronauts (of which certainly a woman and a man of color) which will not land on the Moon yet in 2024. It will be necessary to wait for Artemis 3 the following year to see the arrival of human beings to install a base camp at the South Pole. Meanwhile, the Americans will build a space station around the Moon. The hope is to send humans to Mars in the decade 2030. But that’s another story, it will take almost two years to complete the journey. Orion will return to Earth on December 11.
