A busy May and June for the maintenance workshop

Even if the weather hiccups, going from cloudy and windy skies to blue expenses in a few hours. Add to this the pandemic, which limits flights to training and maintaining skills and qualifications. We have to maintain the equipment. A hot-air balloon is made up of an envelope, a double burner, four propane tanks, a basket equipped with a VHF radio, fire extinguisher, vario and altimeter, a quick release that allows the basket to be attached to the vehicle, not forgetting the fan that allows the envelope to be filled with air. Many parts of this inventory must be checked each year by an approved organisation, allowing the airworthiness certificate to be renewed. For the Pilâtre de Rozier team in collaboration with the Atelier de la Montgolfière in Reims, examination will be in June. But until then, many pilots from Lorraine will also pass by the Chambley airfield for the same maintenance. Summer is in the air!  [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
