Ascension weekend begins an expected back in the air

22 May 2020

For the past week, regulations have been relaxed in this new period of deconfinement. Aircrafts are allowed to fly again. For the moment, only solo and training flights. Only family and club members may join. No permission to embark candidates for first flights yet. Between now and June 2, “things will get better” is the hope shared by all air sports enthusiasts.

The Chambley aerodrome (LFJY) is finally coming back to life with its regular ballet of ultralight aircraft, glider, plane, helicopter and hot-air balloon. The grassed fields are mowed, the hangars reopen and give a glimpse of resumption of activity.

By June 15, we should be able to envisage the reopening of the AeroMusée and its magical activity of hot-air balloon flight in virtual reality. In the offices, the activity continues with the preparation of the outlines of the future 2021 edition of #GEMAB. But this is another story that we’re going to tell you this summer.

A little more patience, all hopes are allowed!
